The crisis in the Gaza Strip is happening due to the fighting between Israel and Hamas which started on Saturday 7 October, 2023 after Hamas launched a surprise attack on the Southern region of Israel, killing hundreds of Israelis and taking several others hostage.

Following the surprise attack on Israel by Hamas, Israel imposed a siege on Gaza which prevented food, clean water, electricity, medicine and other necessities from entering the Strip.

According to COGAT:

Aid for Gaza – Apr. 10 summary:

306 aid trucks inspected and transferred to Gaza.

390 packages carrying hundreds of thousands of meals airdropped over northern Gaza.

41 aid trucks to northern Gaza, out of which 30 by the private sector and 11 @WFP.

The United States (US) alongside European Leaders have taken a stand together on a “two-state solution” to put the fighting between Israel and Hamas to rest, as well as bring about peace in the entire Middle East.
