Donald Trump visit Scotland, says, ‘great to be home’

Donald Trump, former United States (US) President, has landed in Aberdeen on a visit to his Scottish golf properties.

It is Trump’s first visit to Scotland, United Kingdom (UK) since leaving office in 2019.

Mr Trump is expected to attend a ceremony to open a new course at his Aberdeenshire Resort, Trump International Scotland.

The visit is coming as Mr Trump faces court action in the United States (US).

Mr Trump left the plane and greeted newsmen as he walked to a waiting car, however, did not stop to take questions.

Before getting into the vehicle, Mr Trump said: “It’s great to be home, this was the home of my mother.”
