The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has dropped an answer to a question on the renewal of international passport.

The NIS said, it is better to begin the renewal of international passport early (six months before time) to “avoid the rush so you don’t fall into the hands of scammers”.
The Question: When can I renew my passport?
NIS Answer: When the validity on your international passport is down with only six months left (or below), you should immediately begin the process of renewal.
