Russia-Ukraine War: 45 Russian drones shot down – Kyiv

45 Russian drones have been shot down by Ukraine as the country crosses over into the new year, the Air Force disclosed.

Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky, Presidents of Russia and Ukraine respectively, in their new year messages to their people, have assured victory to their respective nations.

Zelenzky loaded his 17-minute video messages with footages of attacks by Russia on his country, also said words of pride to the people of Ukraine as they withstand attacks, cold and darkness.

President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, did not forget to show gratitude to his troops in his speech – “defending our motherland is the sacred duty”, he said.

Numerous explosions were heard in the Ukraine capital, Kyiv, as well as other cities in the country.
