Oyetola and APC’s claims of over-voting against Adeleke and the PDP were squashed on Tuesday by the Supreme Court which affirmed that Ademola Adeleke is the legally elected Governor of Osun State.
Ademola Adeleke of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) defeated Adegboyega Oyetola of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2022 Osun State Gubernatorial Election conducted on 16 July, 2022.
“We dedicate this victory to God”, Governor Adeleke said.
He also expressed his “heartfelt appreciation to great people of Osun State”, saying, “thank you”.
Governor Adeleke said: “We dedicate today’s victory to God. Our Governorship is an affirmation that a government of the people, by the people and for the people is possible. I express my heartfelt appreciation to great people of Osun state. On behalf of my family and party, I say thank you.”
