FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023: ‘Welcome back home Queens’ – Super Falcons return

The Super Falcons of Nigeria have returned back home after crashing out of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 following their defeat to England.

Nigeria lost to England in the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 round of 16 on penalties 2-4 after playing 120 minutes without a goal.

The Super Falcons clinched the second spot of Group B with five (5) points – winning one and drawing two.

D’Tigress, Champions of Africa in basketball, received the Super Falcons after they landed in the country with a welcome message on Twitter.

Nigeria national women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, wrote: “Welcome back home, Queens @NGSuper_Falcons”

D’Tigress discomfited Senegal 84-74 in the final of the FIBA Women’s Afrobasket 2023 on Sunday 6 August, 2023, hosted in Rwanda to emerge Champions.

It was their fourth Afrobasket title.
