In Bermuda, Hurricane Ernesto has made landfall, leaving tens of thousands of people without power as it hit the British Island territory with powerful winds, a perilous storm surge and deadly flooding potentially.

The storm, which is Category 1, brought maximum sustained winds of 140km/h (87mph) to Bermuda – a region that has about 64,000 people – on Saturday.
BELCO, electricity utility, said, the storm caused almost outage on all parts of the Island with about 30,000 customers without power.
According to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) in the United States, Ernesto is expected to slowly leave Bermuda over the course of the day.
It will then be expected to move north-northeast on a path that would take it near or east of the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador on Monday night, the NHC said.
Previously, Ernesto has wrecked havoc in northeastern Caribbean, leaving thousands of people without power or water in Puerto Rico.
