With goals from Harry Kane and Thomas Müller in the 38th (penalty) and 78th minutes respectively, manager Vincent Kompany has maintained his perfect start to the season.
Freiburg had a chance to clinch a consolation in additional time after Joao Palhinha handled Ritsu Doan’s shot, but Lucas Holer blazed over from the penalty spot.
