And in the 31st minute, Ayase Ueda made it two for the Samurai Blue with an assist from Ajax defensive midfielder, Ko Itakura.

After the break, the Asian nation continued their goal spree with Ueda turning provider for Junya Ito, who netted the third in the 69th minute, beating Tunisia goalkeeper, Aymen Dahmen, in a one-on-one.

Maximum points were confirmed when Ueda netted his second and fourth for Japan in the 83rd minute, converting an assist from Kaishu Sano. The Tunisians were left completely shattered as their World Cup 2026 campaign has been a huge mess.

With this outcome, Japan are now level on points with Netherlands, who cruised past Sweden to three (3) points on Saturday, in Group F.
