Representing Bayelsa State, Tamunosoye Karibi-George has been crowned Miss World Nigeria 2026.
The announcement was made by Ben Murray-Bruce, Businessman and Founder of Silverbird Group, on X. He said, “we have a new Queen”, adding, “a new chapter begins”.
Tamunosoye advocates “passionately for change” and pushes “empowerment for children with special needs” through Beyond Labels, her initiative.
Murray-Bruce posted: “We have a Queen!

“Please join us in celebrating TAMUNOSOYE KARIBI-GEORGE, representing Bayelsa State, as the newly crowned Miss World Nigeria 2026!
“More than a queen, Tamunosoye is a passionate advocate for change. Through her initiative, Beyond Labels, she champions inclusion, dignity, and empowerment for children with special needs, creating safe spaces where every child is encouraged to dream boldly and realise that their circumstances do not define their future.”
Tamunosoye’s “intelligence” helped her win the crown as she marches forward to make Nigeria proud at the Miss World 2026.
She will raise the Nigerian flag high at the Miss World Festival 2026, the 73rd Edition, scheduled to take place in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Murray-Bruce further posted: “Her purpose, poise, intelligence, and passion shone brightly, earning her the honour of wearing the crown and carrying the hopes of a nation.
“Now, the journey continues.
“Nigeria stands proudly behind you as you prepare to represent our great nation on the global stage at the Miss World Festival in Vietnam.
