Bill Clinton, 42nd President of the United States (US), has come out to make known his readiness to provide answers to the Jeffrey Epstein case, however, he demanded it be done the “right way”.
The American politician and lawyer made the statement after he was requested to appear before cameras, but, “only behind closed doors” to make his statement on the Epstein case, despite, providing a “sworn statement” of what he knows.
Clinton, who served as US President for two terms, from 1993 to 2001, made it clear, he “will not sit idly as they use me as a prop in a closed-door kangaroo court by a Republican Party running scared”.
He, however, called for the full release of the Epstein files and said, he has made the decision to make himself available “in person” before the Committee in charge of the case, but, the Republicans on the House Oversight Committee are still not satisfied.
Clinton, who served as US President under the Democratic Party, asked, “Who benefits from this arrangement?”; and described the whole thing as “pure politics”, and not “fact-finding”.
Who was Jeffrey Epstein?
According to britannica:
“Jeffrey Epstein (born January 20, 1953, Brooklyn, New York, U.S.—died August 10, 2019, Manhattan) was an American financier and convicted sex offender who was accused of serial sex trafficking of women and girls.
“Through his successful financial career, Epstein became a multimillionaire and developed a social circle that included extremely wealthy individuals, prominent politicians, and even royalty.
“While jailed and awaiting a federal sex-trafficking trial, Epstein killed himself by hanging.
“Epstein was the first of two children born to Paula Epstein (née Stolofsky) and Seymour Epstein, who were themselves children of Jewish immigrants.
“His mother was a homemaker, and his father worked as a groundskeeper and gardener for the New York City Parks Department.”
Bill Clinton says, he I’ll not “sit idly…”
Via X, Bill Clinton said: “I have called for the full release of the Epstein files. I have provided a sworn statement of what I know. And just this week, I’ve agreed to appear in person before the committee. But it’s still not enough for Republicans on the House Oversight Committee.
“Now, Chairman Comer says he wants cameras, but only behind closed doors. Who benefits from this arrangement? It’s not Epstein’s victims, who deserve justice. Not the public, who deserve the truth. It serves only partisan interests. This is not fact-finding, it’s pure politics.
“I will not sit idly as they use me as a prop in a closed-door kangaroo court by a Republican Party running scared. If they want answers, let’s stop the games & do this the right way: in a public hearing, where the American people can see for themselves what this is really about.”
