The Police disclosed, a person of interest in the shooting that killed two (2) people and inflicted wounds on nine others at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, on Saturday evening has been taken into custody.

The shooting on Saturday happened during final exams at the campus.
President of the United States (US), Donald Trump, said, he has been briefed on the unfortunate incident and disclosed the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are on the scene.
At the news conference, Christina Paxson, President of Brown, said: “Everybody’s reeling, and we have a lot of recovery ahead of us.”
Hundreds of Police officers converged at Brown and immediate neighbourhoods while employing surveillance video in search of the shooter, who managed to flee after the shooting erupted in the engineering building.
Following the shooting at Brown University, the number of mass shootings in the United States (US) for the year has now surpassed 300, according to Gun Violence Archive.
The platform defines mass shootings as ones in which four (4) or more victims are wounded or killed.
President Trump posted on Truth Social: “I have been briefed on the shooting that took place at Brown University in Rhode Island. The FBI is on the scene. The suspect is in custody. God bless the victims and the families of the victims!”
