President Bola Ahmed Tinubu visited the family of his “brother and friend”, President Muhammadu Buhari, in Kaduna, where he assured the late Military Leader’s “legacy of service would be preseved and carried forward”.
Visiting Kaduna for the second time “in as many months”, the President attended the wedding of Senator Abdulaziz Yari’s son, Nasirudeen, and Safiyya Shehu Idris at Sultan Bello Mosque on Friday.
The Northwestern State “will always hold a special place in our nation’s story”, President Tinubu said.
Via X, President Tinubu said: “Today, I paid my second visit to Kaduna in as many months.
“Whilst in Kaduna, I visited the family of my brother, friend, and our late leader, President Muhammadu Buhari @MBuhari. I assured them that his legacy of dedication, patriotism, and service would be preserved and carried forward.
“I also joined Senator Abdulaziz Yari and his family at the wedding of his son, Nasirudeen, and Safiyya Shehu Idris at Sultan Bello Mosque. I prayed for the young couple to build their home on faith, love, and mutual respect. May their union be blessed.
“Kaduna will always hold a special place in our nation’s story. In sharing grief and celebrating joy today, I was reminded once again of the values that bind us together as Nigerians: faith, resilience, and unity of purpose.
“May God help Nigeria, keep us united, and guide us always.”
