Executive Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has announced, “Ondo State is now on the list of recommended destinations for American investor.”
Aiyedatiwa’s announcement is coming after he visited the United States Embassy in Abuja on Tuesday to “deepen discussions on investment opportunities” in the Southwestern State.
The Governor said, “strategic” projects like, the Deep Sea Port, Agribusiness ventures among others are designed to strengthen Nigeria’s economy by “easing port congestion in Lagos”.
Governor Aiyedatiwa posted on X: “Yesterday, I visited the United States Embassy in Abuja to deepen discussions on investment opportunities in Ondo State.
“We highlighted strategic projects such as the Deep Sea Port, Petrochemical Hub, Refinery, and Agribusiness ventures within our Free Trade Zone, all designed to boost Nigeria’s economy by easing port congestion in Lagos and positioning Ondo as a major hub for international trade.
“The U.S. officials assured us that Ondo State is now on the list of recommended destinations for American investors. They expressed keen interest in our mineral resources, cocoa production, and the improved business environment we are building, while also commending our security efforts through the Amotekun Corps.
“This engagement was both timely and fruitful, laying a strong foundation for stronger U.S.–Ondo relations in trade, industry, and agriculture.
“Ondo is open for business.”
