Points shared as Fulham come from behind to hold Manchester United

Fulham and Manchester United shared the spoils after finishing 1-1 in the Premier League 2025/26 match at Craven Cottage on Sunday 24 August, 2025.

Ruben Amorim’s United hoped to bring some confidence following their disappointing lone goal defeat to Arsenal into the game and started beautifully with Matheus Cunha the biggest threat as he struck the woodwork.

The visitors should have taken the lead in the first 45 minutes but Portuguese midfielder, Bruno Fernandes, missed a penalty and kept the encounter level.

In the second 45 minutes, defender, Leny Yoro jumped highest from a corner and headed the ball on to the back of Rodrigo Muniz for a deflected own goal which sent Manchester United in front in the 58th minute.

The Cottagers strongly reacted however and straight from the bench, Emile Smith Rowe, found a yard of space in the box and converted home in the 73rd minute an equaliser from Nigerian midfielder, Alex Iwobi’s cross.

Neither side could find a winner and the points were shared at Craven Cottage.
