‘It is now time to focus and rebuid’ – Okpebholo celebrates after Supreme Court affirms his Election victory

Monday Okpebholo, Executive Governor of Edo State, celebrates after the Supreme Court affirmed his Election victory.

Okpebholo said, the Nigerian Apex Court’s verdict was a “bold declaration” by the people of Edo State that “our victory was truly the will of the people.”

In September, 2024, Senator Monday Okpebholo of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) defeated Asue Ighodalo of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP); and Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party (LP), in the Edo State Governorship Election.

The Governor described the Supreme Court’s judgment as a “victory for all Edo people and democracy.”

He said, now that the Supreme Court has given its judgment, it is “now time to focus and rebuid to make Edo shine again”.

Governor Okpebholo posted on X: “Yesterday, the Supreme Court reaffirmed what the people of Edo boldly declared on September 21st, 2024 — that our victory was truly the will of the people.

“From the ballot box to the apex court, Edo’s mandate has been upheld at every level. This isn’t just my victory, it is a victory for all Edo people, for democracy, and for the future we are building together.

“Now, it is time to focus, rebuild, and work even harder to make Edo SHINE again.The era of action is here. Let us join hands and move Edo forward.

“A New Edo Has Risen.”
