Executive Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, has approved the appointments of Gideon Izang and Oluwasola Adegun as Sporting Director and Plateau United Head Coach respectively.
The appointments are coming following the Government’s resolve to transform Plateau United Football Club into a “more professional and goal-driven football institution”.
Via a statement signed by Yaksat Maklek, D.M.O PUFC, on Saturday 28 June, 2025, the Club announced: “As part of Government’s resolve to reposition Plateau United football club towards a more professional and goal driven football institution,
“Governor Caleb Mutfwang approves the appointment of Gideon Izang and Oluwasola Adegun as Sporting Director and Plateau United Head Coach respectively.
“This was contained in a statement by the Secretary to the Government of the State, Architect Samuel Nanchang Jatau on Friday, June 27.
“The statement says the appointments are with immediate effect.”
Plateau United finished the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) 2024/25 on the 7th spot with 54 points.
