PM Starmer keeps promise of recruiting more mental health workers

Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (UK), Keir Starmer, said, he has kept the promise he made of recruiting more mental health workers.

Starmer said, in less than twelve (12) months, his administration has recorded 79% close to its target.

The UK PM revealed, that since July, “6,700” mental health workers have been recruited.

He further revealed, his government is making it easier for patients to gain access to support, saying, it is part of his 10 Year Health Plan.

PM Starmer made known via his official X account: “I promised to recruit more mental health workers. I have.

“Less than a year in, we’re already 79% of the way to our target, with 6,700 recruited since July.

“And we’re making it easier for patients to access support as part of our 10 Year Health Plan.”
