Enzo Maresca guided Chelsea to a beautiful comeback to lift the Uefa Europa Conference League trophy with an ultimately dominant 4-1 win over Real Betis in Wroclaw.
The Blues had fumbled in the first half and were deservedly at the back at the break after Isco, who ran the opening period, delivered a fine assist to tee up Abde Ezzalzouli before he powered in the opener in the 9th minutes.
Englishman, Cole Palmer, assisted Enzo Fernandez who levelled for the Blues in the 65th and from there on, Chelsea continued to score until they reached four goals.
Nicholas Jackson, Jadon Sancho and Moses Caicedo, registered their names on the score sheet for Chelsea in the 70th and 83rd minutes, and 1st minute of additional time respectively.
Following Chelsea’s triumph in Poland, defender, Reece James, who did not start the showdown, said: “It’s devastating to find out you’re not starting a final. I want to play every game, but it was the manager’s decision.
“I needed to accept it and move on and come on if I was needed. In the first half, we were very flat.
“We needed a reaction in the second half, and we got it.”
