The hierarchy of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has handed President Bola Tinubu its endorsement for a second term.
This is coming after the multi-sector achievements of President Bola Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda in two years was reviewed at the “memorable” APC National Summit.
The ‘Broom’ Party posted on X: “The memorable APC National Summit reviewed the multi-sector achievements of President Bola Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda in two years, which has led to the Party’s growing support. The APC hierarchy collectively endorsed the President @officialABAT for a 2nd term.”
Governors under the APC led by Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, passed their vote of confidence on President Tinubu, endorsing the Leader as the Party’s 2027 candidate.
Following defections from other Parties into the fold of the APC, the President has come out to clarify that, the ruling Party has no intention towards a “one-party State”, saying, “it is not suitable for democracy”.
The President however added, “you don’t expect people to remain in a sinking ship without a life jacket.”
