Lagos State: NEMA respond to fire incident at FRCN Studios

National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) disclosed, it responded to a fire incident which started around 1833hrs from an air conditioning unit, involving a two-story and a single-story building at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) studios.

NEMA further disclosed, “despite the significant property loss, no lives have been lost, and no injuries have been reported.”

According to NEMA: “NEMA Lagos Territorial Office responded to a fire incident involving a two-story and a single-story building at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) studios.


The fire, which started around 1833hrs from an air conditioning unit, has extensively damaged two(2) studios, multiple offices, and the roofs of the buildings. Despite the significant property loss, no lives have been lost, and no injuries have been reported.


The damping of the fire incident in the studio is still in process.


The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Lagos Territorial Office is actively coordinating the response alongside LASEMA, LASAMBUS, the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, the Federal Fire Service, and the Nigeria Police Force. Efforts to extinguish the fire and prevent further escalation are still in progress, with emergency responders on-site managing the situation.”
