“Please fact-check me: The British Army used machine guns to slaughter over a thousand Lukumi Yorubas at the Battle of Imagbon during the British-Ijebu War of 1892. In the history of the Lukumi, only the Battle of Ore between Biafran and Federal troops has claimed more lives.

Five years later, the British also levelled Benin, killing thousands of people in the process and looting the kingdom.

Yet, Kemi Badenoch is prepared to be British, despite that bloody colonial legacy, and rejects being Nigerian due to her hatred for Northern Nigeria, inspired by the fact that there have been intermarriages between Lukumi Yorubas and Northerners for millennia.

Before England or the United Kingdom existed as a nation, Sango was a leader amongst the Lukumi Yoruba. Please fact-check: His mother was not Lukumi. She was a Northerner from the Nupe ethnic group.

To let Kemi Badenoch know how outrageous her words were, I will superimpose the photo of the soldiers that the British used to kill her kith and kin on her own photo. Maybe she can wear it with pride on her chest when next she tackles Prime Minister Starmer in Parliament.”
