The FIFA World Cup 2022 is to take place in Qatar, from 20 November to 18 December, 2022 with 32 teams to do battle in eight different Groups.

- When And Where Is The 2022 FIFA World Cup? The 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar will kick off on Sunday 20 November at the Al Bayt Stadium. Host, Qatar will slug it out with Ecuador in the opening match, in Group A. Originally, the tournament was set to start a day later with Senegal’s match against the Netherlands at Al Thumama Stadium, however, Qatar’s game was shifted forward to allow them to open their home tournament. Lusail Stadium in Doha will host the final of the tournament on Sunday 18 December.
- When Will the 2022 FIFA World Cup Squads Be Announced? All 32 countries in the tournament have a deadline of Monday 14 November to submit their 26-player squads. FIFA will officially announced the squads on Tuesday 15 November.
- What Is The 2022 FIFA World Cup Groups Draw? The 2022 FIFA World Cup will kick off with 32 teams in 8 different Groups, with four countries drawn in each Group – Group A: Qatar, Ecuador, Senegal, Netherlands; Group B: England, Iran, USA, Wales; Group C: Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Poland; Group D: France, Australia, Denmark, Tunisia; Group E: Spain, Costa Rica, Germany, Japan; Group F: Belgium, Canada, Morocco, Croatia; Group G: Brazil, Serbia, Switzerland, Cameroon; Group H: Portugal, Ghana, Uruguay, South Korea.
- What Is The 2022 FIFA World Cup Format and Schedule? During the group stage, four matches will be played each day, which will last over a 12-day period. Winners alongside Runners-up will progress from each Group to the Round of 16. In the Round of 16, all Winners will clash against all Runners-up and the eight winners will progress into the quarterfinals. In the quarterfinals, the eight winners will face each other, four will be knocked out while four will progress into the semifinals. Out of the four teams, only two teams will qualify for the final, while the other two losers will fight for third place.
- What Are The Venues For The 2022 FIFA World Cup? Eight Stadia will host all the 2022 FIFA World Cup matches. They are: Al Bayt Stadium, Khalifa International Stadium, Al Thumama Stadium, Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, Lusail Stadium, Ras Abu Aboud Stadium, Education City Stadium, Al Janoub Stadium.
