Manchester United V Tottenham Hotspur: Reds release starting XI, Dorgu unavailable, Mazraoui doubtful

Manchester United head coach, Michael Carrick, has provided an update on his team’s fitness and availablity ahead of the top flight match against Tottenham Hotspur.

United are back to action in the Premier League following the international break with a contest against Spurs at the Theatre of Dreams.

There have been frets over defenders, Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu and Noussair Mazraoui, after suffering injuries while representing their countries, Denmark and Morocco, in the Uefa Nations League 2026/27 and the African Cup of Nations (Afcon) 2027 qualification respectively.

Manchester United will face Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League match on Saturday 10 October, 2026 at 17:30 (WAT) at Old Trafford.

Carrick told Manchester United official website, Dorgu will not be available for a “number of weeks”, while Mazraoui remains uncertain.

England players, Kobbie Mainoo and Marcus Rashford, had to pull out from duty, while, Ivory Coast winger, Amad Diallo, has been putting effort to regain fitness.

Benjami Sesko, Slovenian striker, will not be featuring for the Reds on Saturday evening after being sidelined with a knee injury.

And, Uruguayan defensive midfielder, Manuel Ugarte, remains out of action after operating his knee.

At his pre-match press conference, Carrick said: “Yeah, it’s a little bit mixed really, through the internationals.

“Patrick came off and it looks like he will be out for probably a number of weeks. Nous came off and took a knock. He’s not quite right yet, so we’ll see how he is.

“Amad has done a little bit of training, Marcus has done a little bit of training, Kobbie has done a little bit of training. So it’s a little bit mixed really.

“Ben is further away, with the issue he has got. He won’t be ready.”
