Officials of the World Health Organization (WHO) have said, they are expecting the cases of hantavirus to increase “even more”.
This is coming as the confirmed cases of hantavirus increases to nine (9).
However, the World Health Governing Body said, plans for containment are being followed.
One (1) confirmed case of the virus has been reported In the United States (US) by officials; “eight” States are now on alert for possible symptoms.
Fox News reports: “Confirmed hantavirus cases climb to 9 as WHO officials say they expect to see that number increase even more while insisting containment plans are being followed.
“In the U.S., officials report 1 confirmed case and 1 person showing symptoms, while 16 others remain isolated in Nebraska.
“Eight states are now monitoring for potential symptoms as the White House says it’s tracking the situation closely. The incubation period remains long, raising continued caution.”
