Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, has commended Executive Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, over the “landmark project”, the Gateway International Airport in Iperu-Ilishan.
The commendation by Obasanjo is coming as the former Leader flew alongside Governor Abiodun from Abuja to the Airport.
Obasanjo, who served as Nigeria’s Military Leader from 1976 to 1979, praised Abiodun for his administration’s “resolve and unwavering determination” to bring the Gateway International Airport “to life”.
He described the project as a “bold initiative”.
Governor Abiodun posted: “Recently, we flew from Abuja to the Gateway International Airport in Iperu-Ilishan with the Former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR.
“During the trip, he commended our visionary resolve and unwavering determination to bring this landmark project to life, describing it as a bold and forward-looking initiative that will significantly strengthen Ogun State’s economic and strategic positioning.
