China ready to improve communication with US for ‘stable and sustainable’ China-US relations

China through its Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, said, the Asian country is “willing” to enhance communication with the United States (US) for the promotion of “stable, sound, and sustainable” relations between the two countries.

This will help “avoid misjudgments”, as well as, the implementation of the consensus reached between Presidents, Xi Jinping of China; and Donald Trump of United States (US).

Yi said, China and US must show respect for “each other’s core and major interests and avoid escalating confrontation and conflict”.

According to a post on X by Lin Jian , Spox of Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the meeting with a delegation from the US-China Business Council, Wang Yi said: “China is willing to enhance communication with the US, avoid misjudgments, manage differences, explore cooperation, and implement the consensus reached between President Xi Jinping and President Trump, to promote the stable, sound, and sustainable development of China-US relations.

“Both sides should respect each other’s core and major interests and avoid escalating confrontation and conflict.

“It is important to uphold the principles of mutual respect, equality, and reciprocity, refrain from unilateral hegemony, and do more meaningful, practical, and beneficial things that serve the interests of both countries and the world.”
