Inter Milan: Simone Inzaghi says goodbye to the Nerazzurri family

Italian manager, Simone Inzaghi, has said goodbye to Italian Serie A club, Inter Milan.

The former Italy and Lazio striker made the decision following Inter’s inability to clinch the Uefa Champions League 2024/25.

In the showdown, Achraf Hakimi netted one, Desire Doue netted a brace, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Senny Mayulu scored one each to help Luis Enrique’s Les Parisiens lift their first ever Uefa Champions League trophy in Germany.

This feat makes it a treble for Luis Enrique’s young Les Parisiens after they clinched the Coupe De France 2024/25 and Ligue 1 2024/25.

Inzaghi said, “The time has come for me to say goodbye to this Club after a four-year-long journey, throughout which I gave my all.”

He said, “the six trophies we won, including the Second-Star Scudetto, together with our Champions League journeys in 2023, and just a few days ago, are living proof of how much my work was supported by a shared understanding with my staff and every part of the club”, adding, “We were sincere and together we decided to conclude this magnificent journey”.

We were sincere and together we decided to conclude this magnificent journey.
