French forward, Kylian Mbappé, has been awarded the Mahou Cinco Estrellas Award from Real Madrid for the 2024/25 season.
The former Paris Saint-Germaine (PSG) star has been honoured after a beautiful first season at Santiago Bernabeu. Scoring 43 goals in 56 games, Mbappe played an important role in winning the Intercontinental Cup and the European Super Cup. He also ended the season as LaLiga’s top scorer with 31 goals, carting home the Pichichi and Golden Boot awards.
After receiving the trophy, the Frenchman expressed his gratitude for the prize: “It’s a pleasure and a great moment for me. I would like to thank all madridistas and the people who voted for me. My first season in Spain is a new experience for me as a player and as a person.”
He added: “When I arrived, I had to adapt to the team, the country, and a new language and culture. Now I feel great, and you can see that on the pitch. I’m very happy at Real Madrid.”
On the FIFA Club World Cup:
Mbappe said: “It will be the first time we’ve played in a competition like this, and we’re really looking forward to it. It’s an opportunity to become world champions with the club. It’s going to be a great competition in the United States. Everyone will be watching, and we’re going to try to win it.”
The France Senior National Football Team Captain joined Real Madrid in 2024 from French Ligue 1 side, PSG, where he won six (6) Ligue 1 titles (2017/18, 2018/19, 2019/20, 2021/22, 2022/23 and 2023/24).
He scored more than 160 goals for the Les Parisiens after more than 170 appearances.
