Arteta led the Gunners to a 3-1 comeback victory over the Bees on New Year’s day.
The Spaniard said, “I think we showed a lot of composure, a lot of desire to turn the result around.”
In the Premier League match at Gtech Community Stadium, Bryan Mbeumo netted for Brentford in the 13th minute, but, the visitors fought back and levelled 16 minutes later through Gabriel Jesus.
Mikel Merino and Gabriel Martinelli scored the second and third goals for Arsenal in the 50th and 53rd minutes respectively.
In his post-Brentford comments, Arteta said: “I think we showed a lot of composure, a lot of desire and a lot of attitude to turn the result around, to make things happen, to take the initiative.”
This outcome takes Arsenal to the second spot on the table with 39 points, six (6) points trailing toppers, Liverpool, while Brentford are 12th with 24 points.
