Luis Diaz and Alexis Mac Allister netted in the 23rd and 36th minutes respectively, and James Maddison netted one for the hosts in the 41st minute.
Dominik Szoboszlai scored the third for Arne Slot’s Reds in the 45+1 minute, and Mohamed Salah netted his brace in the 54th and 61st minutes.
Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs fought back and netted two through Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke in the 72nd and 83rd minutes.
Diaz completed his brace, the sixth for the visitors, in the 85th minute to hand Liverpool all well-deserved three (3) points of the encounter.
Liverpool are toppers with 39 points, while Tottenham are 11th with 23 points.
