COP 29: ‘We need to create an ecosystem for private sector which will make climate change agenda practical and achievable’ – Arpadarai

Member of Parliament of Azerbaijan and UN Climate Change High-Level Champion for COP 29, Nigar Arpadarai, said, “we need to create an ecosystem for private sector, which will make the climate change agenda not only ambitious but also practical & achievable!”

Arpadarai also launched the Business, Investment and Philanthropy Climate Platform (BIPCP).

COP 29 said: “Today at #COP29Azerbaijan, the Business, Investment and Philanthropy Climate Platform (BIPCP), was launched by #COP29 High Level Climate Champion 

@ArpadaraiNigar, which aims to unite leaders from business, finance and philanthropic communities to drive practical, collaborative, near-term action to achieve the goals of the #ParisAgreement. The platform focuses on finance, building on the success of the COP28 Business and Philanthropy Forum held in Dubai in 2023.”

According to Arpadarai: “We need to create an ecosystem for private sector, which will make the climate change agenda not only ambitious but also practical & achievable!


#COP29 Business, Investment & Climate Philanthropy Platform started today, uniting delegates from business,finance & philanthropies.”

COP 29 is currently ongoing in Baku, Azerbaijan; it started on Monday 11 November, 2024 and will conclude on Friday 22 November, 2024.
