Blues Spanish defender, Marc Cucurella, hit the back of his own net to hand Aston Villa the opener very early, in the 4th minute.
The Villans added the second through Morgan Rogers in the 42nd minute, but, Mauricio Pochettino’s side netted in the 62nd minute through Noni Madueke, and Conor Gallagher levelled for the visitors in the 81st minute.
With this result, Aston Villa remain fourth with 67 points after 35 games, while Chelsea are ninth with 48 points after 33 games.
