Wolverhampton Wanderers emerged victorious in the Premier League 2023/24 match against Chelsea by two goals to one at the Molineux on Sunday 24 December, 2023.

Christopher Nkunku found the back of the net for Chelsea for the first time late, in the 6th minute of additional time, however, his effort was in vain as it wasn’t enough to earn Mauricio Pochettino’s side a win or even a point.
Mario Lemima headed in for Wolves in the 51st minute and Matt Doherty made it two for the hosts late, in the 3rd minute of additional time.
Wolves right-back, Doherty, in his post-match comments said: “It felt really good. I was happy to contribute. To score and to win is two great feelings before Christmas.”
