Nigeria sharpshooter, Victor Osimhen, has emerged 2023 CAF Men’s Player Of The Year.

24-year old Osimhen defeated Mohamed Salah of Egypt and Achraf Hakimi of Morocco to win the award.
The Nigerian had a beautiful 2022/23 season, being extremely pivotal in helping Italian Serie A club, SSC Napoli, win the Serie A 2022/23 after more than thirty years.
He emerged Serie A 2022/23 Player Of The Season, and went ahead to clinch the Golden Boot award after scoring twenty-six (26) Serie A goals for the Partenopei.
Osimhen becomes the first Nigerian to win the award after former Super Eagles forward, Nwankwo Kanu, who won it in 1999.
