The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), has hailed Victor Osimhen and SSC Napoli following their most recent triumph in Italy.

SSC Napoli emerged Champions of Italy after the Serie A match against Udinese at Udine – an encounter that ended 1-1.
Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, scored the leveller that earned SSC Napoli the one point required to clinch the Serie A 2022/23 title.
The feat was Napoli’s first in over thirty (30) years – since 1990 and the Diego Armando Maradona era.
NIDCOM called Osimhen “the Idan gangan of Serie A”, after helping Luciano Spalletti’s side clinch the Scudetto which they last won “33 years” ago.

Not relenting despite their Scudetto victory, Napoli went ahead to clinch a lone goal victory against Fiorentina in the Serie A match at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Sunday 7 May, 2023.
Victor Osimhen scored the only goal of the game after losing a penalty earlier.
