According to Channels TV, “Electorates at Polling Units 001, 002, & 003 in Akwakuma Girls Sec. Sch in Owerri North LGA of Imo staged a protest, expressing displeasure over the late arrival of election materials, even as late as 1:55 p.m.”
Today, Saturday 25 February, 2023, Nigerians have trooped out to vote the next President, Vice President, Senate and House of Representatives.
More than 93 million people are registered to vote in Nigeria, which is Africa’s largest democracy.
The Nigerian government deployed more than 400,000 security officials across the country for the peaceful conduct of the 2023 general elections.
