Bayern Munich are Bundesliga Champions for the 35th time after 4-2 win over Stuttgart

After Sunday’s victory at home against Stuttgart, Vincent Kompany and his men will be celebrating another Bundesliga title.

Bayern Munich have secured the Bundesliga 2025/26 title with four (4) games to spare after a comfortable 4-2 victory over VfB Stuttgart in the top flight match at Allianz Arena on Sunday 19 April, 2026.

This is Kompany’s second Bundesliga title back-to-back since joining from Burnley in 2024. The Bavarians defended their crown after climbing fifteen (15) points clear at the top of the table, above second-placed Borussia Dortmund, who were defeated 2-1 at Hoffenheim on Saturday 18 April, 2026.

The visitors were the more lethal side in the beginning of the clash; and Bilal El Khannouss provided for Chris Fuhrich, who used his side foot to hit the ball past goalkeeper, Jonas Urbig, in the 21st minute.

But, Stuttgart’s opener only angered the hosts as Jamal Musiala manoeuvred through two (2) defenders and released for Raphael Guerreiro, who levelled for Bayern in the 31st minute.

And in the 33rd and 37th minutes, Nicolas Jackson and Alphonso Davies netted for the home side respectively; both goals assisted by Luis Diaz.

Harry Kane made sure to register his name on the score sheet as he found the back of the net to make it four (4) goals for the Bavarians, but, very late, in the 88th minute, Chema Andres netted the second for Stuttgart.

Clinching the Bundesliga title with four (4) games remaining makes it the fifth-quickest Bundesliga title win in history, with Bayern accounting for three of those.

So far, Bayern Munich have netted 109 top flight goals, already setting a new League record with 5-0 triumph over St. Pauli last week.

Bayern Munich posted: “Champions of Germany for the 35th time!”
