Italy Earthquake affects several countries

Off the Italian resort of Rimini, a 5.5 magnitude earthquake has been felt across the central region of Italy and several countries in Europe.

On the Adriatic coast, several houses were shaking for some seconds and there were reports of low scale damages, however, no record of casualties.

In parts of the central Marche region, schools were shut and trains were stopped around the Ancona City due to the suspected track damage.

The quake was 8km (5 miles) in depth, Italian officials disclosed.

The earthquake affected Rome in the West, Bologna in the North-East and across the Adriatic in Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
