Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele, has issued a stern warning to those who are “hoarding currency notes”.

He further warned those that “disrespect the Naira”, the “law enforcement agencies will arrest” them.
Emefiele further assured the commitment to “deepening cashless policy” remains very solid.
The Nigerian Apex Bank Governor made these statements while briefing Diplomatic Corps on Currency Redesign, where he “sues for understanding”.
