The 2023 Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections will take place on a rescheduled date of Saturday 18 March after being initially scheduled for Saturday 11 March.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) explained the reason for the postponement was for the Commission to reconfigure the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) after being used for the 2023 Presidential and National Assembly elections on Saturday 25 February.
Governor Sanwo-Olu also talked about the turn out of voters for the 2023 Presidential election in Lagos State, which he said was below 20% of the total number of eligible voters in the Southwestern State.
He went ahead to give reasons why he is “better than other Governorship candidates” as they get set to lock horns in the forthcoming 2023 Governorship Election.
