The United States (US) has announced $1.25 billion in weapons and equipment for Ukraine’s self-defense.

The announcement was made today, Monday 30 December, 2024 by Antony Blinken, US Secretary of State.
This announcement is coming as the fighting between Russia and Ukraine continues to intensify.
According to Blinken: “As part of the surge in security assistance for Ukraine that President Biden announced on September, the United States is providing $1.25 billion in weapons and equipment today for Ukraine’s self-defense. The United States and more than 50 nations stand united with Ukraine.”
