Carlo Ancelotti’s Los Blancos were pegged back from 2-0 up at Estadio Municipal de Butarque, however, held their nerve to eventually scale through.

Real Madrid went in front when Rodrygo set up Luka Modric for the opener after just eight minutes, before Endrick doubled the lead in the 25th minute.

Leganes were awarded a penalty seven minutes before the break, and Juan Cruz found the back of the net in the 39th minute.

Cruz went ahead to level for the hosts in the 59th minute.

Real Madrid secured their semi final spot when 20-year-old substitute Gonzalo Garcia netted via a header in the 3rd minute of additional time.
