President of France, Emmanuel Macron, has sent his condolences to families of victims and the injured of the attack in the city of New Orleans, United States (US) on New Year’s day.

An attacker drove a pickup truck through a crowd during new year celebrations, killed 14 people and left dozens more injured.
42-year old army veteran, Jabbar, who shot at two (2) police officers was killed in a shoot out with police during the attack; the 2 officers are stable in a local hospital.
The FBI, in its latest update, disclosed, it now believes the attacker acted alone.
President Macron wrote: “New Orleans, so dear to the hearts of the French, has been struck by terrorism.
Our thoughts are with the families of the victims and the injured, as well as with the American people, whose sorrow we share.”
