Michael Olise, Bayern Munich’s French attacking midfielder, has bagged nomination for the Uefa Champions League Player Of The Week.
The announcement of Olise’s nomination was made by the German Bundesliga giants on Thursday 16 April, 2026 after a list of four (4) nominees was released on the official website of Uefa.
Olise earned the nomination following his outstanding performance for Vincent Kompany’s Bayern Munich in the European match against Real Madrid on Wednesday night
The France international netted the fourth goal for the Bavarians in the Uefa Champions League quarter final second leg against Real Madrid on Wednesday 15 April, 2026 at Allianz Arena in Munich.
Olise, who kicked off his youth career at Arsenal, converted Harry Kane’s assist in the 4th minute of additional time to hand Bayern Munich a 6-4 aggregate victory over Alvaro Arbeloa’s Los Blancos and progress to the semis to face Paris Saint-Germaine (PSG).

Dembele was nominated after scoring a brace in PSG’s 2-0 triumph over Liverpool on Tuesday 14 April, 2026; and Olmo got his nomination for his performance for Barcelona in the Catalans’ 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid same day.
Zubimendi and Olise were nominated after their performances for their clubs, Arsenal and Bayern Munich respectively, in the quarter final games on Wednesday 15 April, 2026.
