Super Falcons of Nigeria striker, Asisat Oshoala, emerged the first African player to score in three (3) separate FIFA Women’s World Cups.

This is coming following her goal in the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 match between Nigeria and Co-host, Australia, at the Brisbane Stadium, Australia on Thursday 27 July, 2023.

Oshoala scored the third goal for Nigeria in the 72nd minute against the Matildas to help the Super Falcons clinch all three points of the encounter and grab the top spot of Group B with four points.

Nigeria and Canada are level on points while Australia third with three points.
