United States (US) Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, in Israel, reassured Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of America’s “rock solid” support as Israel fights Palestinian fighters known as Hamas.

The fighting between Hamas and Israel started in the morning of Saturday 7 October, 2023 after Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel, killing several Israelis and taking many others hostage.
At a news conference, Blinken standing side by side with Netanyahu, said, America will always be around to help Israel as it fights Hamas to defend itself.
Since Israel launched its retaliatory actions against Hamas by bombarding the city of Gaza, more than 1,300 have been killed, with more than 300,000 displaced.
