Currently, German Champions, Bayern Munich, are the only team yet to taste defeat in Europe.
So far, the Bavarians remain the only “unbeaten” team in Europe, the Club posted on X.
This is coming after the Bavarians emerged winner over Freiburg in the top flight game on Sunday in the city of Freiburg.
The visitors fielded against their hosts in the absence of head coach, Vincent Kompany, who collapsed during a training session ahead of the game.
Kompany was immediately hospitalised after he collapsed while overseeing the reserve team training session some hours before the clash; Assistant Manager, Aaron Danks, took control of the team and guided the boys to a fine 3-1 win at Europa-Park Stadion on Sunday 25 October, 2026.
Defender, Dayot Upamecano, gave Bayern Munich the lead in the 18th minute with an assist from Michael Olise, and German left-back, Nathaniel Brown provided for Serge Ganbry, who added the second for the visitors, in the 42nd minute.
But, in the 82nd minute, Freiburg found their consolation after Tom Bischof put the ball into his own net.
Bayern Munich pressured and restored their two-goal lead in the 5th minute of additional time through Olise.
In its post-victory reaction, Bayern Munich posted: “UNBEATEN.
“We’re the only team in Europe to have not been defeated this season so far.”
At the venue of the clash, fans raised a banner wishing manager Kompany speedy recovery.

The result leaves Bayern Munich at the top of the Bundesliga 2026/27 standings with seventeen (17) points, same points with Borussia Dortmund, while, Freiburg are 3rd with thirteen (13) points.
