English winger, Anthony Gordon, is of the belief that teammate, Swedish forward, Alexander Isak, is the best striker in Europe after netting in Newcastle United’s 2-0 Carabao Cup semi-final, first-leg victory over Arsenal on Tuesday 7 January, 2024 at Emirates Stadium.

Isak has netted 14 goals in his last 15 Newcastle matches in all competitions to move Eddie Howe’s side a big step closer to reaching the final for a second time in three seasons.
Opta says, only Erling Haaland (105) and Mohamed Salah (73) have netted more goals across all competitions among Premier League players than Isak’s 50 goals since making his debut for Newcastle in August 2022.
When asked about Isak, Gordon told BBC Radio 5 Live: “Very good. He is the best in Europe, probably right now, with the form he’s in.
“The best quality he’s got is that he’s so humble.
“He is not scared to pass the ball. He’s very unselfish, and his best ability is his raw ability on the ball.”
