Recently unveiled head coach of the Super Eagles, Finidi George, will field Enugu Rangers’ left back Kenneth Igboke for the World Cup 2026 qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Rep.
According to the Super Eagles: “Camp update: Africa Player of the Year, Victor Osimhen is injured and out for 4 weeks. Super Eagles’ Coach Finidi George has called up Enugu Rangers’ left back Kenneth Igboke for the WC qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Rep. #soarsupereagles”
Nigeria will play against South Africa and Benin Republic in the World Cup 2026 qualifiers in June.
A 23-man squad has been revealed for the qualifiers, they are:

Finidi George who was unveiled as new head coach of the Super Eagles confessed, “the task is enormous”, however, expressed his gratitude to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) after his appointment.
He wrote: “Honored to have been unveiled as Head Coach of @NGSuperEagles
My gratitude goes to @thenff, the Ministry of Sports Development, and Nigerians for the faith.
The task is enormous but with the support of Nigerians, we will scale every hurdle and bring glory to our fatherland”
